·        Sr. Business Analyst role documenting current credit card processes for a legacy system used by a national firm.  Also working with team of internal resources from all departments, developed requirements for and reviewed vendors for the new credit card system.  Created functional requirements and detailed conversion and implementation processes for new credit card system.

·        Business Analyst / Developer roles for new Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone  application that was originally envisioned as a Tablet PC application replacing a paper and MS Access process.  Device change provided significant savings in hardware costs to client while enhancing the productivity of field staff.

Managed all elements of US Postal Service Dinero Seguro Project. Goal was to replace the pilot project's 1000+ leased PC's in 800+ US Post Offices in California, Texas, Illinois with USPS furnished equipment acquired from DEC. Responsibilities included creating and managing inventory control procedures, contracting labor. Developed procedures to implement on-site technical work including testing, revising USPS created procedures that involved ghosting image, LAN and dial-up configuration of WIN95 PC's. Recruited, trained, supervised teams of technicians in 3 states. Coordinated troubleshooting of WAN/LAN connectivity issues with USPS technical staff in Raleigh, N.C. Involved in hardware failure diagnostics/investigation procedures. Maintained positive relations with various USPS clients via E-mail, telephone contact to complete conversion to new hardware/software environment with minimal complications overcoming a variety of challenges. Designed, delivered all reports. Profitably completed project.

 

Talking Tapes- Managed the full cycle of the conversion of legacy Btrieve library and order tracking system and tape production system to a Client / Server system with Microsoft Access back-end, Visual BASIC front-end running on NT Server with NT 4.0 workstations. Conducted extensive user interviews to gather specifications. Completely re-designed and upgraded a custom library management system. Added greater order-entry detail, shipping information data capture and increased marketing data management functionality. Created automated module to produce web pages of new catalog pages. Provided user training. Configured and reloaded Server and workstations. Migrated btrieve bar code scanner functionality to VB 6.0. Environment: NT 4.0 Server on LAN with NT 4.0 Workstations.

Created online catalog of 5000+ items by converting a legacy print document utilizing Excel and VBA. Also provided the data as an MS Access database and provided training of staff to facilitate its maintenance. Environment: Win95 PC/ Internet.

 

Sprint PCS Y2K Remediation SWAT Team -performed upgrades and provided end-user support/problem resolution of Windows 95, Office 97, Outlook, Exchange issues.

 

US Tape & Label - Developed tool for data conversion for US Treasury to facilitate distributed label printing using VB 6.0.

 

Data conversions - Converted 8 years of data from legacy flat files to Access databases in less than one week. Environment: NT 4.0 Server on LAN / PC's running WIN95.

 

Internet development - As Marketing Consultant, created the strategic marketing campaign, then designed and built a large internet site focusing on senior healthcare issues for a skilled nursing facility that enabled it to build its market presence.

Project management – led the development of a large internet site, facilitated and coordinated bringing wide range of service provider's information together.  Involved meeting with wide range of public and private organizations to secure information and authorization to post it on the Internet.
